Court Delays Not Just in Morcombe
Media attention over the last few days relating to the anticipated delays in the trial of the man who allegedly abducted and murdered, Daniel Morcombe are by no means isolated to this case, according to Bosscher Lawyers’s, Michael Bosscher.
“We are well aware of the delays by the DPP, however we understand their position and whilst we don’t condone it, we have many other less high profile clients who are in exactly the same predicament. In fact, the Morcombe matter is proceeding quite expeditiously in comparison with other matters,” Mr Bosscher said.
Chief Justice Paul de Jersey has reportedly said the case will not be heard until next year because the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) lacks resources.
