Man Accused of Endangering Property By Fire Granted Bail
Ian Kennith Daniels spent more than six weeks in jail before being granted bail in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on the 9th of January.
Mr Daniels is accused of endangering his home in Cambooya by allegedly setting it alight on the 25th of November 2013.
Claire Graham, of Bosscher Lawyers, highlighted Mr Daniels’ Associate Diploma in Business Management, solid work history up until becoming a full-time carer for his son in 2006, current mental health issues, and very limited criminal history in her successful bail application for Mr Daniels.
Magistrate Schemioneck noted that whilst the police objected the granting of bail, he was satisfied that Mr Daniels was suitable for release.
The matter will be before the court again on the 18th of February.
