Sophie Collombet’s Alleged Murderer to Face Committal Hearing
Benjamin James Milward, 25, had his case briefly mentioned in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Bosscher Lawyers’ Lawyer Michael Bosscher asked that a scheduled directions hearing be abandoned so the case could instead be listed for a one-day committal hearing.
The request was not opposed by Crown prosecutor Scott Smith.
Chief Magistrate Judge Ray Rinaudo listed the committal hearing with cross-examination for July 27.
Ms Collombet’s naked and badly injured body was found in a rotunda at Kurilpa Park at South Bank on March 28 last year.
